We've been busy! Here's a look at the new features and improvements added to Mosaic to make the 2026-2027 school year even better.
Tuition, Billing & Payments
New this year: a fully featured Tuition & Billing module, covering everything from a family's first contract to the receipt for their last payment.
Tuition Contracts - A guided wizard for scales, fees, proration, discounts, entrance fees and installment plans, with batch generation for a whole roster, a school-wide contract audit, and parent e-signature in the family portal
Discounts & Payment Plans - One discount catalog covering sibling, scale and plan-triggered discounts, plus monthly, quarterly or custom payment plans with their own fees or discounts
Charge Ledger - Every charge, credit and payment for an account on one searchable page, with full history, late fees as separate charges, mass charges and printable statements
Cashier's Window - Take full, partial or overpaid payments in either currency by any method, including journal voucher and payroll deduction. Hold or transfer credits, sign a family up on the spot, and print or void receipts
Reports - Payments Received (with a year-to-date view), Annual Fees, Outstanding Accounts and Charges, all filterable and exportable
Safe Go-Live - Set up and rehearse billing, then switch it on once a readiness check passes. Built-in warnings catch common mistakes, and complete guides are available in English and Spanish
Family Action Center
One engine for every required family process: re-enrollment, permission slips, data review, waivers and consent forms.
Checklists & Tasks - Build a checklist from task types such as data review, agreement signing, tuition contract and medical update, then target it by grade, class, scale or new families
Run Dashboard - Live progress for every checklist, with bulk check-off, waivers that record who and why, and task sharing with the staff who settle each one
Pass to Class - A clearance card showing whether a family has finished what they owe
Fully Bilingual - Every family-facing string is authored in both school languages, and families can reread anything they've signed
The Family & Student Portal
A Fresh New Look - A redesigned portal, rolling out gradually, with separate Homework and Grades pages for students and an easy way to switch back
Keeping Data Current - Parents correct their own information field by field or through a guided review, and staff approve changes from one queue
Everything in One Place - Finances, past report cards, documents, lesson plans, homework with time estimates, library loans and immunization records
View As - Admin staff can see the portal exactly as a family or student does, without asking for a password
